This series consists of records relating to agencies, offices, and tribes in jurisdictions outside of the oversight of the Minneapolis Area Office. The records include copies of letters sent and received at other Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) agencies. The correspondents include local, area, and headquarters BIA officials and field agents. The records also include memorandums; forms; photographs; and maps. The files contain progress reports, annual reports, and other reports; schedules; statistics; tables; legal notices; appeals; and tribal constitutions and bylaws. Approved lists of Indians enrolled in California as of 1933 are contained in the files, as well as information manuals for the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians; minutes of the All-Pueblo Council meeting held at Santo Domingo Pueblo in 1936; and proceedings of the conference of Indians of Southern California regarding the Wheeler-Howard Act, held at Riverside, CA, in 1934. The records include reports on management improvement programs from Aberdeen Area Office, and training programs from Albuquerque Area Office; appeals and appraisals related to land allotments at Agua Caliente Indian Reservation; and correspondence and reports related to Indian land use and allotments from California Agency and Turtle Mountain Agency. Reports on grazing from Fort Apache Indian Agency, the impact of railroads on timber values on Coeur D'Alene Indian Reservation, and timber sales on Choctaw and Chickasaw tribal lands are included in the files, as well as a Congressional report on land investigations at the Crow Indian Agency. The files supply information on internment camps, including the Poston Relocation Center, located on the Colorado River Indian Reservation for the relocation of Japanese Americans by the War Relocation Authority. Information on forestry at Apache National Forest, Fort Apache Indian Agency, Klamath Indian Agency, Quinaielt Indian Reservation, Tongue River Indian Agency, and Warm Springs Agency is provided. Fire management plans from Klamath Indian Agency and Fort Apache Indian Agency, and publications from the Fish and Wildlife Service are included in the records. The records include documents related to Civilian Conservation Corps--Indian Division projects originating from Blackfeet Agency; California Agency; Chemawa Indian School; Cheyenne and Arapaho Agency; Cheyenne River Agency; Colorado River Agency; Colville Agency; Consolidated Ute Agency; Crow Creek Agency; Five Civilized Tribes Agency; Flandreau School and Agency; Flathead Indian Agency; Fort Apache Indian Agency; Fort Belknap Agency; Fort Berthold Agency; Fort Hall Agency; Fort Peck Indian Agency; Fort Totten Agency; Grand Ronde-Siletz Indian Agency; Hoopa Valley Agency; Hopi Agency; Jicarilla Agency; Kiowa, Comanche, and Wichita Agency; Klamath Indian Agency; Mescalero Agency; Mission Agency; Navajo Service; Osage Agency; Palm Springs Subagency; Pawnee Agency; Pima Agency; and Seminole Agency. The records include individual family lineage cards for Santee Indians at Flandreau Indian School; and statements of fact regarding Kickapoo Indian lands in Mexico.

In 1851 the Osage Subagency and the Neosho Subagency were combined to form the Neosho Agency which was responsible for the Osage, Quapaw, Seneca, and Mixed Band of Seneca and Shawnee.
